Croydon vulnerable migrants’ experiences of health and care services

Published : 20 December 2024

This report, funded by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), supports their work with seldom heard groups. Healthwatch Croydon, in collaboration with the Rainbow Health Centre, interviewed and surveyed 58 vulnerable migrants from 24 countries in Croydon about their experiences with health and social care services. Thanks to all participants and the Rainbow Health Centre staff for their support.

The Rainbow Health Centre has significantly helped vulnerable migrants access services, but improvements are needed in pathways, cultural sensitivity, and managing expectations. The CQC should raise its profile among vulnerable migrants.

Healthwatch Croydon looks forward to working with local services, especially through the Croydon Health Inclusion Steering Group, to better align services with the needs of Croydon’s vulnerable and diverse populations.
