My name is Nataniel and I am currently studying for my Level 3 Business qualification. I wanted to do my work experience with Public Voice as I wanted to gain an understanding of how a professional office operates and to develop skills that would help me in my future career. Before starting my placement, I expected to mainly observe how the organisation worked. But I was surprised about how involved I would become in a range of different tasks. I was trusted with meaningful work, including researching and drafting policies, organising information, carrying out online research, and completing administrative tasks. Throughout my placement, I always was supported. If I was unsure about anything, there was always someone available to explain tasks, answer questions, and provide guidance. This work experience has given me a clearer understanding of what a working professional office environment looks like. It has shown me the importance of teamwork, organisation, communication, and close attention to detail, while also helping me develop practical skills that I can take forward into future education and employment.
