Public Voice Chair attends LGBTQ+ History Month launch

The Haringey community joined together at George Meehan House in Wood Green on Monday 2 February to officially launch LGBTQ+ History Month. The launch was signalled by the raising of the Progress Pride flag, with a number of activities and events set to take place across the borough throughout February.

Ian Adams, Chair of Public Voice, was in attendance, as well as the Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Ahmed Muntaqim Mahbub, and the Leader of Haringey Council, Peray Ahmet. 

The theme for this year’s LGBTQ+ History Month is Science and Innovation.

Taking place in February each year, LGBTQ+ History Month provides an opportunity for us all to celebrate and learn about the heritage and history of our LGBTQ+ communities
